Movie Review : I Am Legend

One word: "Blaherreguregrulah."
Translation: Creepy-nasty-grizzly-intense- yucky-yuck-yuck. Yuck.

This movie drove me out of my gourd. I'm still trying to exorcise the worms out from under my skin and the queasy knot in my gut. I've never been a fan of scary movies, and this one just barely crossed over my tolerance threshold. (I never said I was good at separating fantasy from reality.) I was literally jumping on the couch with a pillow over my face during the dog scene, and wedged into a corner during the rest of it. And in a very rare occurrence, I, the terrible woman who hates basketball, actually made Marc switch to the Jazz game about 10 times so I could relax. When it was all over, I went upstairs to cuddle with my sweet little sleeper and to feel peace again. (And to make sure he was safe!)

I'm not looking forward to my dreams tonight. And tomorrow night, I just may pack a switchblade when I take Jaeger to the bathroom.

I'm totally the same way! I have dreams about scenes from scary movies from years ago! I hate it because on some level, I'd sort of like to be able to watch scary movies, but it's just not in the cards for me.

Wow! I can't believe you made it to the end. I'm like you. I really hate scary movies. The Jazz game interludes for me would have not been interludes, but a permanent switch off of the movie. I know myself well enough that I don't even go there any more. At. all. But it was probably worth it, so that you could put the word, "Blaherreguregrulah" on your blog! :)

Mel - I think we're all better off without them. It's best not to even develop a tolerance!
Natalie - I actually tried to run out on the movie several times, but hubs kept telling me it would get better. He forgot to mention it wouldn't happen until the last 60 seconds.
Becca - At the very least it's not one you could nurse Eli to.

Melbo - I think you're a better person for having seen Will Smith save the day.

I can't even remember what movie that is (and if I wasn't lazy I would look it up right now). So, is it good if you do like scary movies or just not good?

Will Smith, seemingly the last man alive in New York searching for a cure to a botched cancer vaccine that killed 99% of the world and left most everyone else a zombie-like animal (or food for a zombie-like animal). No ground-breaking epic by any means, but a fun movie.

Ugh! I hated this movie too! It had my stomach tied in knots from the very beginning until the very end. Tim loved it. So did my dad and brothers. It must be a guy thing.
