Almost Fat Free. Almost.

Ingredients: sugar, partially defatted peanuts, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, dextrose, nonfat milk, yada yada yada…
_______________

I ate half of a pound of Reese's today (well worth my current stomach ache), and the whole time I kept wondering:

"Why bother to defat the peanuts and milk if they’re just going to partially hydrogenate the soybeans?"

Hmm....

No one cares about defatted peanuts. It's like de-carbing a carrot. It's just part of the food, people! They're just replacing good fats (omega-6's and a few 3's) with bad ones.

I think they just like the word "partially".

You know I went through most of my life without knowing the joy of chocolate with peanut butter...until I came to Japan and a lovely American gave me my first ever Reese's Peanut Butter Cup...I've never been the same since :D

I love Reese's Peices way better than regular Reece's Cups. That is all.
